Evelyn Believes

The Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God given for correction, instructions, rebuking, and training, and it is only through obedience to the Word that we can please God. (2 Tim. 3:16-17, John 14:15, 1 Samuel 15:22)

There is one God manifested in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19)

That man is born in sin and can only be redeemed by confessing Jesus Christ and being forgiven for his sins. (Romans 10:9)

In the virgin birth of Jesus, in His sinless life, His death, and bodily resurrection. (Luke 1:34-38, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23, Acts 2:23-24)

In Jesus’ ascension to the right hand of the Father and His return to earth. (Acts 1:11, Revelation 1:7)

That it is the will of God that each believer be baptized with water. (Acts 2: 38 & 41)

That the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to edify the Body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 14:12)

That believers are called to make disciples of all men. (Matthew 28:19)

About Evelyn Johnson Taylor

I love to share God’s Word and my life experiences through speaking, coaching, mentoring, training, and books showing women how to apply biblical principles so that they can walk in the fullness of all that God created them to be and accomplish.

I am an Ordained Minister, Theology Professor, Award-Winning Author, Mentor, P.O.W.E.R. Certified Speaker, Certified LINKED Personality Coach, and Certified Writer Speaker Coach. My most precious title is that of mother to two adult daughters and one son-in-love.

I served as founder and president of Women of Promise International Ministries Inc. for 14 years, a nonprofit outreach ministry offering hope and healing to women. My late husband Pastor Scott Taylor and I were the founding pastors of the Good News Bible Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Good News Global Ministries in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where we served until 2010, when my husband’s health failed.

As a 10-year caregiver for Scott, I offer a message of hope and encouragement to those caring for loved ones. My message of self-care for the caregiver resonates with those who are feeling overwhelmed and don’t know what to do. See Me Hear Me Know Me from The Heart of a Caregiver book is the 2021 winner of The Caregiver Friendly Award.

I also serve on the advisory board of Senior Connection Center Inc. and am a volunteer for AARP. These community connections keep me in touch with the needs and resources available to caregivers.

My educational background includes an AD in nursing, BA in Women’s Studies; MA & PHD in Ministry. God has blessed me with multiple guest appearances on Christian Television Network, Homekeepers with Arthelene Rippy, Atlanta Live, blog talk radio, and other local media outlets. I am a member of the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association, Christian Women Speakers, and Word Weavers International.
